How You Can Help:
Guidebook
to Deliberation about the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Research
We are seeking volunteer researchers to help create the guidebook. Volunteers will respond to requests from the editor and the writers for detailed information about historical questions, current events, public opinion, and other issues. Much of the research that is needed can be done online, but there will also be opportunities to consult books and other sources.
If you would like to assist with research, you can sign up for as many or as few tasks as you would like. We will work with you to figure out which tasks would best match your interests and schedule.
If you are interested in getting involved, or if you have any questions, please contact us at info@jewishdialogue.org.
Advice and Editing
As we develop the guidebook, we are seeking reviewers and editors with a variety of perspectives to read and comment on drafts. We value general suggestions about the content and structure of the guide as well as recommendations about individual word choices. Some people are signing up to read just a single draft, while others are hoping to read several drafts and to offer ongoing feedback. Also, if you are connected with an organization or institution that is interested in using the guide, we would love to talk with you right away about how we can make it as useful as possible for your constituency.
If you would like to help with editing or to provide some initial suggestions, please contact us: info@jewishdialogue.org.
Endorse the Guide
Is your organization interested in the possibility of using or distributing the guidebook?
In order to complete the guide, we need to raise approximately $25,000. We are approaching a number of foundations and individual donors to ask for their support. We would like to be able to demonstrate to potential funders that the guide will be read and used widely around the United States.
We are seeking letters of support from organizations and institutions that might want to offer deliberation programs or simply to share the guidebook with their constituents. These letters do not need to express a firm committment -- we don't expect that you will be able to promise to use a guidebook that isn't yet complete. Rather, we hope your letter will indicate that you support the goals of the project and plan to consider using or publicizing the guidebook once it is complete. We would be glad to share sample letters with you.If you are interested in writing a support letter on behalf of your organization, please contact us at info@jewishdialogue.org.
